New Passat CC, Vehicle Capable and Sporty Interior

This Passat Car at the America Detroit Auto Show, “A car that is anything but mainstream”; this is how Volkswagen have described its new Passat CC that was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show. It is VW’s first four-door coupé and the company maintains that it is a vehicle capable of “embracing differences,” from comfort to dynamism, from a sporty interior to a spacious one… but does it have the brand cachet to rival the Mercedes-Benz CLS?

The Passat CC also offers the Dynamic Drive Control (DDC) chassis control system which combines the sportiness of a coupé and the comfort of a top sedan. DDC offers three programs; “Normal”, “Sport”, and “Comfort”. It also offers a Park Assist system that automatically guides the Passat CC in to a parking space at the push of a button. The driver no longer needs to steer, just accelerate and brake. Another high-tech feature is Automatic Distance Control (ADC) which, when activated, automatically brakes and accelerates within a speed range determined by the driver beforehand.
